We are having difficulty recharging our Kindle Fire 10

The original lead for the Fire 10 was damaged when my husband dropped it (onto the carpet not a hard floor)!  I purchased a replacement lead and now, when charging, the Fire 10 doesn't seem to be holding the charge and runs down much quicker now.  It is annoying that Amazon don't supply replacement leads similar to the original ones.  This new one is thinner and longer.

Which cable did you get? THIS one says its an original replacement...

We got one from Amazon.  I have found out what the problem is.  The plug when in the charging port is loose.  I think it will have to be changed at some point but I will go to a local repairer who are very good.
