In a word... Yes.
Its a really nice unit. Those Americans got a great deal at $299.
The fit is different.. At first I was thinking why have they tried to reinvent the wheel, but now its second nature and feels great on.
Image.. So bright, I might need some new eye balls for 2019. The difference over all compared to the Rift is the finer details. Its like going from Standard Definition TV to HD. You can see more textures on materials, smudges, dirt and reflection on windscreens for example. Some of the reviews have hinted the anti screen door has made things a little blurry.. which was a concern. But nope, I find it to be really sharp. Im currently playing alot of Digital Combat Simulator. Lots of small text on buttons... no problem for me at all.
Head tracking... Not a single issue. I dont really play 'VR games' (Just my sims) so I cant comment on the hand tracking yet.
WMR... This is my first windows mixed reality thingymabob... After a bit of learning and Googling it works really nice. Their version of ASW works as good Oculus so far.
Ive got mamanged to get too much gaming done this weekend. Its been mainly messing with settings and Super sampling etc. But DCS and PC2 looks and plays really well on the new beast.
Happy Days. |
