Hp Reverb spots/streaks

Hi,
I bought a HP Reverb a few months back and had not used it for a few weeks, when I put it on again it had a couple of spots and smears on the left screen. Some spots are white and a some red. They are much bigger than pixels and remain no matter the program I'm running or where I look. Naturally most noticeable with a black background. They are not there when the headset is off though.

Here's a picture, anyone know what it is and how to resolve it?

I heard they did a re-call of this headset.. i'd just give HP a call and get a refund/replacement asap!
