Hi all,

we were with now tv for our internet up until a few months ago and have changed to virgin media but i was wondering if i could use my old now tv router as a repeater with my current virgin media router?

any help or advice would be much appreciated

In Wi-Fi, "repeater" is a particular type of device that work in a particular way. Most cheapy SOHO router's cannot be re-purposed as "proper" repeaters.

However, you can (usually) re-purpose as SOHO router as an additional stand-alone Wi-Fi Access Point and/or AP/ethernet switch combo.

There's a few hoops to jump though, but it's not difficult. How to go about it is described in the "Using Two Routers Together" FAQ pinned in this forum.
