BIOS NOT DETECTING GPU

My bios and device manager will not detect my GPU. I built my PC about three months ago. My build consists of; i3 3100 3.7ghz cpu; Asus b250i mini itx motherboard; Corsair Vengance ram;  1tb WD blue HDD; Pny GTX 1050ti OC edition; Corsair CX650M power supply; Windows 10S. When i built my PC i did not have time to put in my GPU because i had a flight the next day i got back and used my PC with no GPU for like 2 weeks just doing work related things. I finally put my gpu in and what do you know.. BIOS or Device Manager does not detect it its just not there. What can i do too help this matter? It sucks because i cant play any games. I also do not have a DVI-D cable for my gpu. I tried to see if my GPU would display through HDMI and it wasnt succesful. Ill most likely get one if my gpu it sucessfully detected. Both GPU fans spin. Please help! If you have any questions, feel free so you can assist my in this crappy sistuation. Thanks, hopefully this community can help me out!

How do you currently connect your monitor to your PC?

To use the new graphics card you will have to connect one of the connectors on the graphics card to the monitor via an appropriate cable.  This could be the HDMI one in your case.

If you leave you the monitor cable connected to the motherboard then you will possibly end up with a dual monitor on a single monitor setup and a blank display.

Not sure what you mean by bios does not show it.  You wouldn't normally see the GPU in the bios.

Device Manager should detect it under Display Adaptors or unknown device if you need to load drivers for it.

Looking at the GPU you mention it only appears to have one fan?  Have you got the right model number and do you have any power connectors on the GPU.  The one you mention shouldn't have but should only have one fan...

I apalogize for being unclear. The GPU has 2 fans. They both spin. What i meant is that my GPU does not show in in BIOS as in it does not show up on my main page that saiz “pc info”. My other components are in there such as ram/cpu. My gpu takes a 6pin. I have a 6 2 pin cable only so i just use the 6 pin and leave the 2 chilling off to the side. What i meant is that i have my motherboard connected straight to my through HMDI. I unplugged it and plugged it into my GPU and i got nothing.

No worries, sorry had missed the OC bit off on my Google search and hence got a different graphics card

The GPU won't show in the PC Info normally, however checking the manual of the motherboard, under the tool menu on page 3-17 option 3.9.5 gives you the graphic card information so would be worth checking there to see if it identifies it (or not).

There used to be a priority option of which graphics card to use as default but I can't see that setting in yours.

Windows should still detect it even if it is not in use.

So have you checked that it is seated correctly in the PCI Express connector.  The power leads sound correct, have they been pushed in all the way and clicked etc?

I would remove the power connector, remove the card and reseat ensuring it is correctly in.  But power connector back on and restart PC.

If you have left it with just the HDMI connected from GPU to monitor then it should boot on that, though worth giving it a bit of extra time just in case it is deciding.

If no joy then it could be a faulty card?

Bro oh my god you are a life saver!!!! I turned off my pc, plugged the hmdi in the gpu from monitor and then turned it on and it showed like my graphics card model in numbers.. Still not recognized in device manager just as "Display Adapter".

Ok, step in the right direction

Here is my Device Manager, if I expand the arrow next to Display Diver I get this

                                                                               

Do you have similar or are you getting a generic device or something similar?

You need to install the latest drivers (assuming you are in the US?)

NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce Game Ready Driver WHQL

Then they should be here.  Download and install and you should be good to go hopefully.

It just doesn't work. I download the drivers than go to update drivers and select browse desktop because I have the file on my desktop. All it saiz is " Windows has determined that the best driver for your device is already installed". And under display adapters it says nothing even similar to my GPU. All is saiz is "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". What do I do. I am so close to being able to run games. HELP PLEASE!!!

You need to run the Nvidia program I linked to earlier rather than trying to update the driver via Device Manager

I cant run anything with Windows 10 S sadly.. Im gonna get rid of it soon though.

Does that include games too ?

Need to get rid then as even a quick Google does not suggest any useful suggestions\workarounds.
