Plasticization problem

I recently swapped my set up and used some EK Duraclear pipe and some EK Cryo Fuel premix. Within 8 weeks my pipes have gone hard and a yellow/white powder has now coated the inner pipework.

Anyone else had problems with EK stuff?

yep, EK duraclear tubing inside PC and mayhems tubing in the run from my external cooler.
Wasn't using EK coolant but within a couple or three months all of the tubing was covered in a thick white powdery coating ( plasticizer ).
Changed all of the duraclear for mayhems tubing and now ~6 months later still clear so got to assume it was the duraclear causing the issue.

Damn, I assumed it could be the coolant being as its coloured. I have re done all the pipework and filled with some clear UV XSPC EC6.
I've just ordered some PrimoChill PrimoFlex Advanced LRT Tubing as it was the only one I could see that didnt have issues. It was not easy to find and had to get white as clear was out of stock eveywhere.
What coolant have you been using with the Mayhems? Was it the same as the Duraclear?

I originally used Mayhems XT-1 Nuke with the duraclear which according to Mr mayhem himself, supposed to be OK together.
Second time with the remaining duraclear I had left, went back to roots with what I've used for 15 years or so and just used 20% mix Blue antifreeze/DI water. It still did exactly the same, 2 months later thick white powdery residue inside the pipes. You could see it starting to cloud up within a couple of weeks.

Im still using 20% mix Blue antifreeze /DI water with the mayhems tubing without problem.

May be a bad batch of Duraclear or even fake, I did buy it from OCUK so I'd hope not, but you never know nowadays, fakes get every where.

Yeah well i got mine from scan so i dont think its two people with fakes. Ive just used the rest of my duraclear, so ill keep my eyes peeled. Its very poor if its the duraclear, and i wont be buying anything EK again.

Dont forget to clean the insides of the blocks and radiators as its not just the insides of the pipes it builds up on.

From experience, I found citric acid dissolves the powdery residue. So its great for getting it out of you radiator.
Citric acid is the main ingredient for descalers or you can even buy it from wilkos for a quid or two for a box of 250g. 1 table spoon to 1 litre of hot water. fill up your rad and shake it about for 1/2 an hour or so then flush with clean water.

Just thought I'd update you. I think the Duraclear pipework is ok. It appears the EK coolant is the culprit.
I bought some new Duraclear and used XSPC XS EP6 coolant. Nearly 12 weeksa on and its still crystal clear. CPU block Needed a good clean out as well with Citric acid and a toothbrush
