And you're in mainland UK? Also, I don't think it applies to some particularly heavy/large items or some items on sale.

I set mine up years ago I think but I've just tried it for a random £99 item and it was showing free delivery for me:
                                                                                 

Perhaps try the same item and see if it shows free delivery? That'll exclude the possibility that your item doesn't qualify.

Dang it I've just yesterday taken receipt of a Samsung 860Evo SSD from Scan, having paid postage.

Maybe, but it drives page views which makes advertising on AVF more valuable and supports the genuine community... Requiring minimum posts might also incentivise posting dross and would need greater mod intervention.

As an aside, I once registered on a football team forum and was restricted to naff beginner forums until I'd had 50 "likes" of my posts. I posted for about a week and gave up because I couldn't contribute to the discussions I was genuinely interested in. That forum has a very narrow band of regular users and I'm not sure it's what we would want avf to be

Sent a ticket to Scan, will see what they come back with

Had a live chat with them and they said I could order over the phone to get the free postage while they sort out the account, rather nice of them
