Hi,
Not exactly sure if this is the correct part of the forum for this question !!
I have a HP Pavilion dm-4 1050ea laptop with a broken hinge and since it broke, I have had it in its laptop bag ever since.
It's practically brand new, as I never really used it a lot, I know it's reasonably old in how many years old it is.
So I am on a quest to try and fix it and actually use it again, as it's reasonably a high spec laptop (for me anyway).
I think I have found genuine replacement hinges on eBay, but can I find anyone that will do such a repair...no I can't.
There is a video I found on YouTube and there is a guy actually repairing the hinges on the exact same laptop, but there is no way I would attempt this.
Anyway, I'm looking for advice on if it is worth getting this fixed, if it's a big job for someone who knows what they are doing etc etc.
I am in the Reading/Wokingham Berkshire area and I'm willing to travel if anyone knows of a person or company who do such repairs.
I have attached a few photos of the broken hinge.
