xbox 360 external hd-dvd drive

Okay I found this at the back of a cupboard, so simple question can I use it for anything and don't laugh I spent a fortune on reds at the time

I still have my HDDVD drive for the 360!
It may work with a pc (I think it used to) if wanted to play some discs. Assuming you don't have 360 that is.

I also had one back in the day, it's pretty much useless now.

I have a vague memory of using the drive with a PC and MakeMKV could rip the video HD-DVD to a .mkv container, I'm not sure if it still supports HD-DVD these days the site says DVD/Blu-ray only.

thanks all, I only bought it years ago to back up my library and I guess I only posted to see if there was anything worth stripping out it or just bin it lol
