Thats an old system, the money might be better spent on getting something new'ish like this, there are also people on ebay who sell older PC''s refurnished with better components as gaming PC's.
If you still want to update the PB imedia S3810
* 8 GB DDR3 RAM kit.
* 500GB SSD (replace HDD with this)
* GeForce GTX-1050 TI 4GB mini.
Alongside power requirement the GPU slot is single slot only, so you cannot use most GPU's only low end smaller sized ones, from looking at pictures online I think that 1050 is the best you can get, it should just about fit.
Thats £240 for the above, the CPU on that machine is first gen Intel Core i series with a Core i3-550 inside it, not sure what others it can take but wiki lists all first gen CPU's, you'd have to buy them on ebay. In addition you may to flash a modded bios to even use them from looking at the search results, not entirely sure on that but it's a risk |
