I'm looking for a laptop for our house (myself and partner).
Now this laptop has to serve a few purposes:
1) To be a laptop in the house as we don't have one.
2) To be my girlfriends only home computer. She is mainly a low intensity user (web browsing, office, etc). Her job is an interior designer, (she has a work laptop for this), but she does additional qualification courses online and personal designs as a hobby/potential freelancer in the future, and so needs to use design and CAD programs which tend to require high spec machines. She's using my old hand-me-down desktop and struggling badly.
3) To be my mobile gaming PC. I have my own gaming desktop which I'd prefer to use for intensive games/FPSs, so I don't need a super high spec laptop, but I'd like one to be able to play casual/less intensive games around the house (e.g. Civilization), while she's watching whatever shes doing on TV.
I'm generally looking at laptops with i7, 256GB SSD 1TB HDD, 16GB Ram, with HDMI out. Graphics card doesn't have to be the best, but it has to be future proof for a decent number of years. I was looking at the GTX 1060 and 1050Ti, but thinking the 1050 may be outdated soon.
Also, she was jealous that her colleague got a work laptop with a multicoloured keyboard, so I'd like to get one of those if possible (which makes it a lot harder).

The only difference in these is the performance of the processor. The second is better, but also makes the laptop ~£200 more..
What do people think? or are there any others to recommend?
