The simple way to move one of these folders is to "Right Click" the desired folder, in this instance "Pictures" from the window you had originally shown at the beginning of this thread. Navigate to "Properties". Where you see the "Location Tab" within the "Properties Window", select "Move". This will open yet another window enabling you to select the "D Drive" as its location
If you are going to add other folders, you may wish to create new folders within D drive before hand as sometimes, Windows can be its own worst enemy and it can get very upset. If you are doing this, simply follow the same naming structure as you wish to use and move the chosen folder to its new location as above
In moving the folder, when every you wish to save a picture, it should default it to the new location. It also gives you a little security with the pictures if Windows has a wobble meaning you have to re-install as you shouldn't have to worry about the D Drive where the pictures are stored.
The drive might be small, but it's still quite large. I use a drive that size, partitioned to run as a multi-boot system which has Windows 10 installed three times with each of its corresponding partitions. This is because I have one operating system for normal usage, another which has been tuned for movies and another which is ultra light for music |
