Hello All,
Two peculiarities with this laptop, I have never come across the symptoms this machine is exhibiting.
1. From bootup if any any USB is plugged in the backlights don't come up, without a device present bootup occurs every time.
2 How do you enable the wireless card from bootup, every time from sleep or from a cold boot the wifi doesn't kick in automatically. Yet hit the button and it functions every time, these two strange events occur after a format, whichever Windows platform (or Linux) for that matter, so it's not an installation issue. I thought I was clued up on HP products but this one is an oddity. There is nothing in BIOS and as I say these two problems happen after a fresh installation. Whilst I'm not totally PC savvy I have been a tv engineer for approaching 50 years.
