ATMOS From PC to DENON receiver

Hi,

After a bit of tech help. I have my PC with the Dolby ATMOS app installed. I have the PC connected to a DENON ATMOS receiver via a HDMI cable that is HDMI from the PC and DVI at the receiver end but has a DVI to HDMI adapter to fit the receiver. I’m struggling to get the PC to switch to ATMOS as the option to select ATMOS for Home theatre is greyed our. Do I need a straight HDMI to HDMI cable to fix this?

DVI typically doesn't carry audio at all so yes, it's likely you need an HDMI connection.

Thanks for the reply. I am getting audio and can select up to 7.1 in the speaker options but ATMOS for Home Theatre is greyed our on the PC
