How many Windows 7 computers did you own? I'm guessing it was just one.
Microsoft sorted out most of the stability issues in Windows with Vista. The only computers I've had since then that were 'forever crashing' have had demonstrably faulty hardware. I suspect that was the problem with your Windows 7 machine.
While you can download Windows 10, it's intended to be a trial. Not a basic version you can use forever. The interface is also not 'completely different'. All the core functionality is identical (application windows, cursor etc.) with just a few tweaks in design and arrangement.
Windows comes with a word processor as it always has (Wordpad) but not spreadsheet and presentation software. There are free and cheap packages available though. |
