Hey guys need some help.
Looking for a laptop.
Budget between £1000-1500
Ideally 4k screen, but will do with a good 1080p screen
17inch preferably
Doesnt need to be particularly portable either....just no space for a desktop in my place.

Looked at the HP omen 17 and Asus rog

Any help would be appreciated

What are you planning on doing with it? Gaming or just general use etc?

This would be a good buy

DELL G7 17.3" Intel® Core™ i7 RTX 2060 Gaming Laptop – 512 GB SSD

Never been disappointed with my Dell lappy and wouldn't swap it for anything else.

Cool thanks. Some reason thought they were 60hz screens.
Unfortunately my budget has gotten shot down to £800 due to the boss wanting a new front door

Having a 17" laptop with a 4K screen I'd say it's a waste of time. I wasn't looking for 4K but I bought it as a refurb. Yeah, it looks sharper but you can't really game on a laptop at 4K as it doesn't have the grunt.

My desktop "only" which is a 35" Ultrawide has a 1440p monitor and it's absolutely fine.
