Plug in a mouse, uninstall the Touch pad Driver, Re-start the computer (Not just shut it down but a complete re-start) and let it re-install the driver as it may have become corrupted.
In addition have you installed anything recently, as if so it may have changed something, plus do a full Virus/Malware Scan, (Make sure you definitions are up to date) and check that your computer is running the latest updates.
