Small camera to stream direct to phone

Hi

I am in need of a small battery powered camera which can be viewed live on my phone. This is not for streaming on line just needs to be viewable on 1 phone. Best solution I have come up with so far is an action camera and app but not sure whether Bluetooth streaming is stable for long periods? Is WiFi direct appropriate?

I've never seen an action cam that transmits video over bluetooth, only low res stills and camera control.

Wifi direct or ad-hoc is the way to go. If you need more distance, a 4G Wifi mini router might be the best bet. Couple with a DynDNS and you should be able to view anywhere in the world.
