.mts and Mp4 joiner and edit

hi new to forum i looked around a bit and this topic is covered in different places but post are very old whats the best thing to use to join .mst and mp4 files together and convert them to one format and also want something that can let me add effects to the video and even replace some parts of video    ( like where people are speaking i want to add a song to the video or something ) thank you all for your help.

the videos are shot in 1080 HD
and i will be using windows 10

Presume you mean MTS files. I use Corel's VideoStudio Ultimate X10 running under Windows 10. I mix MTS and MP4 files from both my camcorder and action cam without any problem and render the final video as a m2t file.
A decent video editor will give you all the options you require, improving the video, adding effects, adding music or a voiceover, chroma key etc.
there are plenty of good editors and tutorials to go with them but the initial learning curve can be steep. I chose VS as it is a very easy editor to use and does all I want.

Can I ask - is there any loss in quality when exporting in m2t format?

No loss of quality providing the content  is not recoded.

TsmuxerGui will do what you want for free other than adding music titles etc  Because the content is not recoded it's very fast.


To do that you need video editing software. Like Terfyn suggests.  I prefer Magix Video Pro X
