Media player for camcorder XAVC S files

Hello,
When I play XAVC S files on my tv they play perfectly well when usb stick is plugged into the tv. I also want to be able to play them on my projector. I bought a MXQ quad core  android tv box for £18. It says 4K on it.  When i play the files from this box it downconverts the XAVC S file from 1080P to 720P. Does anyone know where i can buy a reasonably priced media player to play these files in their original 1080P. Thanks

The most popular media player would be VLC. But I heard people saying it’s not smooth to play XAVC S in VLC, for XAVC S is new video codec. It is not supported well by VLC.  For others I'd say GOM Player, Pot Player, 5KPlayer, etc. Here's a roundup of some free media players. I use VLC mostly, and it works fine in most cases. For XAVC S, VLC is not that good.
