Hi all

I just bough the 49 inch version of this Tv and am having trouble trying to feed a direct picture to the TV onto hdmi 2 from my 5 year old Panasonic bdt330 Blu Ray with a separate hdmi audio feed through hdmi3 arc via my non-4K Yamaha 2200 soundbar. The picture won’t stay on hdmi 2 and keeps flipping back to the arc channel meaning I have no picture and sound. Every time I change back to hdmi 2 it just automatically changes back to the arc channel from the soundbar every 10 seconds.

To explain further - My old sound bar doesn't transfer 4k signals and the blu ray player upscales 4k and has two HDMI outs on it. I've plugged the blu ray directly into the TV for the 4k and have fed the audio from the blu ray to the sound bar. This is the reason why there are two HDMI outs.

The soundbar then has one single HDMI 3 into the arc port on the TV.

The problem I'm having is that the TV is getting confused and when I switch to HDMI 2 for the blu ray picture it's switching me over to the soundbar arc HDMI 3 which is audio only so I have sound but no picture. If I switch back to HDMI 2 for the picture it just flicks me back to hdmi 3 again.

I should be able to just watch HDMI 2 for the 4k and have the audio only through the soundbar from the other HDMI but unfortunately it won't let me. Have tried swapping things sound but no joy.

Have tried different leads. Blu Ray to hdmi 2 on the Tv is coming via a 2.0 HDMI lead.

Any ideas where I’m going wrong.

Iv'e run into similar problems with LG TV and Sony soundbar, the problem is likely to be HDMI-CEC (Bravia Sync), you may have to disable that, in some cases this also disables ARC if your using that feature.
