My LG 42LH5000 under certain screen image colours, greyed edge boxes can be seen of some 40 boxes.

Although the TV is not causing and problems, just annoying when watching a program/film and you can see these boxes.

Could it be where dust has got between the outer glass of the TV and led screen. ?

Can you upload a picture?
No idea what you mean by “boxes”?
No, it won't be dust.

Thanks,
Thats the difficult bit, they can only be seen under certain colours that maybe on the at the time. Mostly mid greys to white, not reds, blues, greens etc.

You can see grey outlined squares of approx 17cm wide x 23cm lg, the colours inside these squares are as should be. It just sometimes you see these greyish square squares/boxes.

Thats why I asked if dust may have got between the screens.

You cannot have 40 “boxes” each 17CMs x 23CMs on a 42” Screen

Sorry,
When this photo was taken the outlines could be seen.

I did say approx. for the size and the grey outlines are seen over the screen, but more so towards the top and middle.

This has steadily got worse over the years, but as said the picture is as good as present day tv's apart from these grey outlines that appear under grey or lighter screen colours.

If dust could get in from failed sealing, can the outer screen glass be removed for cleaning on inside etc.

The screen is bonded, no dust can get inside it.
