Bit of a random one, wasn't sure where to put it......Just wondered what's the best method? I've always been under the impression you shouldn't use any kind of liquid glass cleaners etc.

What I normally do is just use a duster or microfibre cloth to get any dust off it, and if it gets marks/dirt on it I normally get two microfibres, wet one under the tap and wring it out, go over the screen with that to remove the dirt, then a clean dry one to dry it off. Mind you it never normally gets more than abit of dust on it anyway.

How do you clean yours?

We have had a tv on the wall for 3.5 yrs, there is a bit of dust on it but have never touched it, since it's in a bedroom and we are non smoking there is not a lot of dust. Plus it's high on the wall.

I have tried proper cleaning products in the past with terrible smeary results.

What I would do now, if I needed to clean would be warm water, a drip of detergent, and a cloth, wiper over, to remove any marks.

Then warm water without any detergent as a kind of damp rinse,
Then just the dry cloth.

Leaves no marks

To remove dirt from a delicate surface in electronics stores, you can purchase wet wipes to care for the LCD TV screen. They are impregnated with a special compound, by means of which static electricity is easily removed. Napkins do not contain alcohol and abrasive substances, so suitable for any type of monitor.
Dust and not dried dirt is removed with a soft lint-free cloth or cloth. Use a cotton, fleece or flannel fabric for this. The ideal option for such purposes is a cloth for wiping glasses. When wiping the dust, do not soak it to prevent damage to the surface.
A set of dry and wet wipes will effectively clean the surface of dirt. Dust and fingerprints are easier to remove from the surface of the LCD screen if periodically treated with antistatic wipes. A damp cloth cleans the surface, and dry absorbs moisture residues and eliminates stains.

I just do this with a micro-fibre cloth I got with my old Sharp 10 years ago, it's the same as the one you use for glasses.

The other options are to use a 50/50 mix of mild detergent, or vinegar and water or alternatively use a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol(rubbing alcohol) 90% or higher grade, this is very important as lower grade alcohol has other solvents which can damage the polarizing film, and water with the same micro-fibre cloth, one direction only.

I use Klear Screen cleaner. It gives an excellent smear free clean with a soft cloth.

Chamois leather. Doesn't scratch and pulls dirt off.
