        The following menu examples are from a Sharp LCD TV, other Sharp TVs may have fewer settings.

Note: If your TV has been previously calibrated by a professional, then making adjustments to your TV's picture will undo that work.

Disclaimer: We have suggested the settings below as a starting point from which you can proceed to Step 3 of our guide to further refine your TV's picture. We make no guarantee that making the above adjustments here will improve your TV's picture, but broadly speaking, it *should* do.

[divclass=dotted_box]Basic Settings Page 1.

This is the first page of settings in the Picture Menu.

Select the Movie AV Mode if available and ensure that OPC is turned Off.

However, do not change any of the other settings on this page without the appropriate tools, such as test patterns. We will show you how to do this in Step 3 of the PicturePerfect campaign.

[divclass="big_black_box"]                                                                                                                                                [/divclass]
If you move the cursor down to the second page you will find the Advanced Settings[/divclass]

[divclass=dotted_box]Basic Settings Page 2.
In the Advanced Settings make sure that the Colour Temp. is set to Low.

Turn Fine Motion Advanced, Active Contrast and DNR to Off.

Set the Gamma Adjustment to zero and set the Film Mode to Standard.

Make sure that you leave the Monochrome set to Off.

Finally set the Wide Mode (aspect ratio) to Dot by Dot when watching high definition content.

[divclass="big_black_box"]                                                                                                                                                [/divclass]
[/divclass]

And that's it for Step 2 on 2012 Sharp LCD TVs. Proceed to Step 3 for information on how to adjust the final controls.

The pictures are missing from the top post. Do you happen to have backups?
