There are far bigger differences between different TVs hardware to display HDR than there are between the different format's abilities to record it.
So you could be seeing a huge jump in HDR capability, far bigger than that between HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
Depending on the TV that jump could also be backwards. I'm not sure about the 2019 models but Panasonic for the last couple of years have been heavily OLED focused with their LCDs having limited amounts of HDR ability compared with rivals like Sony. |
