Casting 4k/hdr content directly from phone to tv, what do you use?

Been using bubbleupnp for years but I'm pretty sure it's not casting in hdr. 4k looks fab, casts with no issues but I'm not getting hdr with it.
Downloaded some uncompressed files from digital foundry, all huge 4k/hdr files but they aren't showing as hdr.
P20 Pro casting to Samsung q9fn.

I'd check that the files play from USB on the TV in HDR first to confirm the TV can properly play them in HDR.

It may be BubbleUPnP is not retaining the HDR metadata in the video container when it casts the video or Samsung never actually tested casting HDR videos to the TV only playing from DLNA media server or from USB.

Try using Serviio on your PC and play direct from the TV interface over DLNA to see if that works.
