I have no idea if this is true or not and I am relatively early Days with Oled
You also know how pro fald i am and still are in so many ways
However, and that’s a big one.
1. The forums are full of people looking for issues or ticking boxes far more than enjoying the pics. I was one of them.
2. Lcd have as many issues as oled.
3. I agree that burn in is still a nightmare and no real protection against it. Like plasma, it is a risk to take or not
But what I can now tell you is that I have never imagined seeing such a picture at home...that contrast when right is incredible. Nothing compares right now..
Secondly, I can’t believe how bright it is for an oled. I hardly go over 40 at night as it hurts my eyes. Oled just need to TM raise the overall ceiling by 300 nits and provide a burn in guarantee...
My point is simply that I am very happy to have made the plunge. The condition was a silly low price to minimise the risks...I got that big time like others
Now, I am enjoying the best picture I can get until mini or micro led comes in 2-3 years..as simple as that...
Dual lcd, why not...but mini led a must
Once you try oled...once you get over the weird initial blackness (dixit my son, first week was a tough adaptation as could not see details in black scenes..good settings sorted it) everything else looks washed out in comparison...
Brightness is good but that light control at pixel level is Really a Game changer.
I was wrong...I am so happy and don’t give a damn if tv burst in flames...just give me 3 years!!! That’s how good it looks. |
