I have a problem I just cant fix so I am hoping some kind person may help me with it.
I have a Sharp AQUOS LC-46D65E which worked perfect until I managed to get the info at the top right which says PC permantly on the screen (I was on the pc channel at the time)
I started pressing buttons in an attempt to get the PC at the top right to go off screen, since I attempted this I can not turn the TV back onto any other input, HDMI 1, HDMI 2 etc.
New batteries in the remote after pressing every button with the batteries both in and out and the issue has not gone.  When I press a button on the remote the tv flashes in recognition on the command from the remote. I can not turn the TV over using the buttons on the TV either so I think I may need to do a factory rest but I dont know how, can anyone please help?

Download the user manual from here
https://www.sharp.co.uk/cps/rde/xbcr/documents/documents/om/11_lcd-tv/LC46-52D65E-DH65E-S_OM_GB.pdf
Read page 29 (Key lock) on how to disable the Parental lock setting.

Thanks for the link but none of the tv buttons respond either with the exception of pressing the one below menu and volume down and then plugging it in, this then display a message "Public_ _ _" and a code needs to be entred which the manual states is 027 but as the remote lights up and the tv flashes when I press the remote this is it the code isnt entered.  Anyone any ideas what to do?

It sounds as though you're trying to program a universal remote to operate your TV...is this correct?
Do you have the original remote that was supplied with the TV when it was new?

No it’s the original remote, reading the manual it says you can use a public mode which I presume is for pubs etc.  It’s the only other function I can seem to get the tv to do other than to work on the pc channel.  Bus as the remote doesn’t work the tv I can’t enter public mode anyway.  Any Ideas?

Where are you reading that in the manual?
The TV has “Home” and “Store” mode. When you first set it up you would select Home for normal everyday use and a TV dealer is the only one who would select store for demo purposes.
You do not need to enter any code into the remote to use it for controlling the TV.
