Toshiba 24W2863DB - Flashing lights at 3am!

Hi All, I've got a Toshiba 24W2863DB which we have in our bedroom, it seems to flash the standby light green and red for about 12 minutes at 3am.

I don't know if it does it every night as I guess sometimes i may sleep through it but its certainly been doing it since I purchased it a few months back and I've seen it happen the past 3 nights in a row. Always at 3am.

I assumed this was maybe some way of showing that the TV was updating but there are no settings I can find that would change such behaviour. I've checked around all the menus and I can find nothing which looks like it would prevent this from happening.

Is this a warranty issue or something more innocent?

It's checking for an over-the-air software update.
You can probably switch it off in the network or advanced settings.

This keeps happening to me also. Has anyone got a  cure other than using a plug in timer for power to turn off power before flashes at ungodly hour like a disco.
