Model LNT5271 about 12 years old. It worked perfectly until a few months ago. Now when it's turned on it gets a picture for a few seconds then the screen turns into a grid of green and white blocks and the TV shuts off and then back on. This continues a couple of time. Eventually the TV stays on and works great until it's shut off. During the warmup time changing to the onsceen guide causes an immediate restart. I've already changed the capacitors on the power board to no effect.
I'd like to keep this TV as it does work very well and was hoping a board replacement will fix the problem. |
