Upgrading to 4k from a Sony KDL-55W900A

Thinking it’s finally time to upgrade to 4k but not Shore what to get. I know my 55w900a was pretty much the best there was for 1080p before 4k came out so guessing not all 4k tv’s would beat a top end 1080p but maybe I’m Wrong as it’s been 7 years? Any suggestions?

No point in getting a 4K set unless you have any 4K sources.

All my sources are capable of 4k(Apple tv,blu Ray playey,video game systems)

Just wondered as you hadn’t mentioned what, if any, 4K sources you had.

I have the same question. Upgrading from the same TV and figure I'll at least get better black levels.

I had a 55" w905a, which was a workhorse and a great set. Died on me in June. Replaced it with a 65" GZ950, which absolutely blows the old tv out of the water in every respect.

My Sony W905 stopped working earlier this year so I upgraded to the Sony AG8. Thought nothing would beat the W905 but the AG8 just blows it out of the water, fantastic TV.
