The alarm SHOULD be fairly straightforward, although I have seen some bizarre use of alarm cabling. Likewise the CCTV SHOULD be fairly straight forward you just need to ascertain whether it was a Digital (CAT 5/6 Cable) or Analogue (RG6 or RG59) system. Depending on Cameras and how many there were £1000 may or may not be excessive, likewise alarms run from £10's to £1000's depending on make and model and numbers of zones, keypads etc.
Assuming all of the cabling is good and usable you should be able to replace both in 2 days max. |
