I am using innr GU10 bulbs and they are no way as good as the hue ones. All my hue bulbs follow their program and the innr ones constantly are showing as unreachable. Hue lamps build a mesh in that each lamp is a also a transmitter, hence Ihave a feeling the innr's need a direct link to the bridge hence reduced distance if rest of your setup are original hue's.

I don't thinks it's an entirely good idea to completely bypass the switch. There may be occasions when having a working switch is useful.

Yes , that is another option and probably more suitable in the long term

No issues with my two innr bulbs at all. Guess it depends on distance but they are a couple of rooms away.

For me was very hard to find Gu10 colour. I just recently found provider for Philips Hue Gu10 colour alternative bulbs. They works quite good. No issues observed so far. Dropping link below if you want to test it.

Yes, they not original once. You can't update software, After power switch has been switch off. If forgets what previously colour was set and turns back to white, but for me is not a big deal  because I am controlling lights with hue switch not with manual switch.
