Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if you can link a Ring video doorbell app, to a cars infotainment screen.
Because if anyone presses the door bell while I’m in my car I have to take my Samsung Galaxy phone out of my pocket to answer it. Can the app be linked so I can just open it as if it was an incoming call on the ?

Thanks anyone,

Peter

The only way you will do this is to have an Amazon Echo Show stuck to your dashboard.
But that could be dangerous when driving?

Even that may not work as not sure if the Echo Show can receive a signal via mobile or if it needs WiFi. You could always create a personal hotspot on your phone which the echo connects to.

Wouldn't it be illegal? And ever so slightly dangerous!

Come on, it’s illegal to use a mobile whilst driving, do you not think watching  a tv screen whilst driving, would be any less dangerous or make you a recipient of a fixed penalty notice ice, if caught by the police.

Can’t see any manufacturer giving advice on how to break the law.

And @peterjeffery, hope you were stationary and engine switched off whilst looking at you phone in your car?

Incidentally, whilst just clarifying the law on mobile phones in cars, I was shocked at the amount of legal/solicitors web sites, offering to challenge prosecutions of these offences.
