What are you guys using for pet cameras? We have just started ot leave the dog alone and have been listening in via Alexa, however we think a camera might be better so we can see him and also we will eventually be leaving him outside of his crate so would be good to check he is safe.

Any tips?

I recently installed some Ring cameras and no longer use mine so If you were to go for that I might consider selling mine

That looks like a great camera although probably more then I want to spend right now. However, how much would you be thinking of selling yours for? @Lesmor

You may want to tell us the budget you are comfortable with and the features that are important to you. Surveillance cameras are available for different budgets, but there are compromises of course. As explained here How Much Does a Nanny Cam Cost? - Spy Cameras HD, cameras below $100 are available but they are barebones models and footage is not high quality. Accessibility at all times is also a concern. That's for nanny cams, but it applies to all surveillance cameras.

Funnily enough I dealt with this this week.
Stumbles across an old PlayStation Go camera.
Plugged it onto the pc (which is in the living room). 5 minute Google and a driver download later followed by downloading Ivideon and voila, all set up.
Philips Hue means if it gets dark when we are out, can still turn the lights on so the camera can still see.

Huge waste of time though, turns out the dog just sleeps when we aren't there...

I picked up a couple of fluereon 1080p cameras for outside the house but have one set up indoors which would work great for this as it has 2 way audio so you could talk to him/her if they seem distressed etc. I use an app on my phone to view. Think they were about £26

I use TP-Link Kasa spot camera to keep an eye on my dog. Pretty good value from a reputable company for £30 I thought.

The main reason I like them is they are the cheapest camera I've found that works well with Google assistant for viewing camera feeds on my Nest Hubs.

For live viewing they're ideal, pretty good quality considering. They do offer a sub service for saving clips to the cloud, however at the moment it's still in beta so not chargeable. So that's an unknown at the moment. It works well but no indication of likely charges yet or if there will be a basic upload facility for free with extra storage chargeable.
