Is this a good price for HIVE heating control?

Costco have a deal at the moment on HIVE heating controls for £165. The price includes fitting.
Is this a good price or are these kinds of deals the norm?

That is good.

However, word of warning, Hive is great for heating - but I've had nothing but problems when it comes to lights, and Hive's terrible Hub.  Have even updated to the Hub 360 and still get lights that refuse to turn on or off on schedule, lose their timings etc.

Have started replacing Hive bulbs with Phillips Hue and they have been perfect

I would say that's a very good price
I have had no problems with my Hive heating and Hive bulbs works a dream especially with a Amazon Echo device
word of warning though avoid Hive radiator valves like the plague
Hive have been in denial that they just don't work and many are jumping ship to Tado

I've no intention of using smart bulbs etc. I'm using  old fashioned honeywell thermostats at the moment so a smart control just for heating will be a major step forward in my house!

I have two boilers. A combi that does HW and CH on the ground floor and a system boiler   megaflo that does CH  HW on the first and second floors.

However there are three zones ie ground, first and second floors, each with their own thermostat.

So would I need two or three hive units?

I got a deal direct from Hive last year which was £12.49 per month (12 months) for heating control, including fitting.  Our system (back boiler, water tank in airing cupboard) didn't even have a wired thermostat, so to turn heating on you had to use a switch in the cupboard.  There was an old mechanical timer, but it was ridiculously noisy and you couldn't sleep in same room with it on so we never used it.

So, the installer got it working (after some head scratching) and we've had it now since November and it's fantastic.  I've got Google assistant set up so I can boost the hot water by voice (I ask my 5yr old son to do it, he finds it fascinating).  I love being able to glance at my phone to check the room temperature (near the thermostat in lounge) and as I also have Hue bulbs in most rooms, the Hive app syncs nicely with those too and I can turn lights on and off if I choose via my phone.

why don't you use google assistant to turn the lights off i never go near the app for heating (other than to tun schedule on/off in winter and spring) or bulbs its all done by voice

Totally different to us. Our hub has been very reliable and the the sensors and lights work well.

I do sometimes, but late at night when the kids are sleeping I try not to talk too loudly.  It's less risky to hit one button on my phone (I have an app set up with a 'zone' that does all downstairs lights in one hit).

I have a echo near the bed
just say Alexa goodnight and everything in the house turns off
i love the Hive  sensor as well everyone knows how to turn on a light switch but turning it off is beyond them
walk into the kitchen and the sensor turns on the lights with a timer set to turn them off again if there is no motion after 3 minutes
