Not quite sure of what your are proposing or currently have.
However, if your existing bathroom light is set up with the fan on a run on timer, activated by the switch wire from the existing switch, you may encounter problems using a Lightwave (dimmer) switch. Some smart switches, like Lightwave operate without a neutral by passing a small current threw them, to enable it to work (the smart function). In this case, the switch wire to the fan, will be permanently live, and the fan will think its being asked to run.
I would speak to Lightwave technical, and consider another switching arrangement for your fan. |
