If they had an API you could probably get a HA hub to interact with them but you can't even add them to the Hue hub as it's a proprietary protocol they use.

As I mentioned further up the thread it's a nice idea but so far poorly executed.

So reading through the thread, anyone more clear to know if these will work with hue bulbs, so if switched off from the wall you can still turn back on hue lights via the hue app

Happy to be proven wrong but I'm pretty certain you can't as the Hue has no power when the wall switch is off. It's the same thing with the Aeotec Nano Dimmer I have. Once the dimmer kills the power I can't turn the Hue back on.

As I mentioned the protocol this uses is proprietary AND they don't have an API yet. So basically there is absolutely no way to control them except with their own (proprietary) app so no way of getting them added to the Hue hub either.

Came across this today (big advertising push on at the moment). I’m building a house and looking at smart home systems.

What I like at this system, in theory, is that the system works like a normal system (for guests, etc) but also that it shouod at oid the issue of a light being off at the wall, rendering a smart bulb useless. But this system is expensive (especially when kitting a whole house out) and uses a proprietary protocol by the looks.

Are there any other similar systems out there worth looking at?

There are lots of threads on here about lighting systems. If you want advice for your own build, I  would suggest you start a new thread and give us an idea of:
Budget
Number of rooms / house size
What you wish to achieve
Any other smart technologies to integrate
Your current skill level with HA

There is wealth of experience on these forums. The advice is only limited by your budget.
Be prepared that none of the solutions is going to be cheap. Estimate a minimum of £50 per light switch and work from there.

When there are other decent protocols out there, I really struggle to get my head around why they went with their own proprietary system. It's something I wouldn't dare buy in to...if they go bust you're a bit shafted.
