I have Tado thermostats on all my radiators and in general they work fine. The problem I have is that the heat from radiator gets to the thermostat much faster than to the rest of the area. What can I use to prevent the heat getting to thermostat too quickly.

You can seet an offset for the temperature within the app, i placed a digital stat in the  middle of the room to chech the real temp in the room then set tthe offset. TBH it was only 2 degrees off

Adjusting the offset does not make the actuator work any differently though - it’s still reading the same absolute value, to which you’ve added a fixed offset. You could just adjust the setpoint by the same value (while having no sensor offset) and it would work no differently. If the sensor is in a poor location then using an offset does no make it work “better”, the only fix is to use a separate sensor in a better location.

You can install a wall thermostat assigned to that TRV and set it as the measuring device just for that TRV and room. It will measure the room temperature more accurately, and to a granularity of 0.1°. The TRV sensor is adjustable only in steps of 1 degree. You can also use another TRV unmounted in the room as the measuring device, just sit it on a table or shelf, having first installed and calibrated it's little motor and actuator while fitted on a TRV valve.
