Hello,
we’re going to be completing some major home upgrades in the new year which will including full rewire.  we’ve bought a 16 way Hager consumer unit and wanted to incorporate various different circuits so when work needs to be done we’re not having to switch off all downstairs sockets and lose the fridge and router etc.
We’re planning to add a dedicated circuit for Nest protect smoke alarms.  As this is the one circuit that should never need switching off for anything we wondered if it was worth adding the router / mesh network and security cameras to this circuit.  as we’re still at the design stage we can use whatever cable is needed.
so our questions are: has anyone added their router and cameras to the smoke alarm circuit?
is this a good idea? Is there anything else we should be thinking of to future proof? Any other recommendations for dedicated circuits? any ideas / recommendations for mesh network and housing of router, hue hub, Apple airport, etc etc
