Ring Doorbell Pro vs Nest Hello

I went with the Ring Pro, because I had a lot of things under Amazon Alexa and the design of the Ring Pro was prettier with my house, so that was the main reason. One of my friends has a Nest Hello and compared to my Ring Pro, I find that the quality of the camera is better on this one, but in the end, it really depends on what you are looking for and the functionality you want really

The new Nest subs, I believe, don't include CVR but does include extra cameras. The old subs with CVR continue I think. So there's options.
I have the 5 day history, recording 24/7 and it cost £40 for a year. Expensive but not unreasonable for a yearly charge.

I think I'll wait and see how well motion activated recording works before changing anything.

Too be honest I'm swaying towards the Ring.  Having Homekit is a big plus for me and while I know it isn't currently it is planned to have it.  It also looks like it can't be too far away as they've had the pro certified.  Obviously with the Nest being Google owned Homekit will never become available.  Also things like including the transformer save an extra cost.  Yes the doorbell might not be as good as the Nest but being able to have my doorbell sync up with my TV, lights etc is good for me.

I have just looked at the Netatmo smart doorbell and that seems to really tick the boxes for me, Homekit enabled, looks good and takes 230V so I'm presuming no messing about with transformer plus no subscription fees.  Pity there's no news on a release date.  Apparently it is due "this year" but that was months ago.

I have a Ring spotlight cam in the back of the house and a Nest Hello at the front. The Nest is far superior, There is almost no lag in the feed, unlike the Ring. The Ring takes far too long to connect even though the signal is stronger and nearer the router than the nest. The Nest App is much better and easier to use too. It is more expensive but easily worth it in my opinion.

When I was looking for a doorbell camera I looked at several and narrowed by search down to the Ring and the Nest. I ended up with the Hello as the video quality appeared better, the FOV was more suited to a doorbell (4:3) and the design of the doorbell itself was more appealing. Haven’t regretted my decision at all, the Hello has been brilliant for the year or so that I have had it.

The subscription is the only thing that annoys me a little. £4/m for 5 days recording. I wish there was an option to record locally as well. If your internet connection is down then no recording. 5 days is enough for me, I have prospered CCTV cameras for anything longer.

Without paying any sub for a Google/Nest Hello what exactly do I get for free.
Sure, I can log in and see video, live, but other than that's what do you actually get without paying monthly for the service?
