The stupid system imposed by the MPAA might kill the commercial possibilities of very decent entertainment and horror movie with some comedy tones.
In UK this movie was rated 15 which is perhaps younger appropriate public. MPAA rated as R which requires 17 years old the get in and not may parents will be interesting since is not strong horror but just a fun one.
If you are able to get in it, the music is fine, the action scenes are engaging and the horror is there with some funny moments as well.
So in brief; give it a try. You will not repent
