Kristen Stewart is the only good thing in this utterly precious load of pseudo intellectual bore.
Kristen was really captivating and the only reason I kept watching. Underacting and still carrying the movie, captivating in her role as 'just the assistant', thank goodness she gave us something to watch! Boring, bordering on outright tedium, who the heck gave this all those high scoring review points... because that's the only reason I watched.
It was very pretty. The countryside stunning, the story of the 'snake' really intriguing and beautiful, but that can only go so far.
The concept had some real validity, but the movie chopped and changed, did truly odd things with a flashback or two, and kept pretending it was building toward something... anything... and simply never, not once, delivered.
Filled with non=event individuals, it felt nasty and unskilled and mean-spirited with some very unlikable, vain and dull characters who didn't do a thing to make you care less about them. Pretentious to the point of pure cliché, this movie thought very highly of itself, kept telling us how important and imaginative it was and fell like a limp pancake, undercooked and doughy as a flaccid middle aged rear end.
