Need a little help.

Hi could someone please help with this. . I bought a sony hap-s1. It's from japan and has a Japanese power lead (125v).  What do I need to get to get it working in the uk.
I should add i stupidly tried a European adapter plug because the power lead fitted it. Needless to say it didn't work and i hope i didn't damage the system.

Think you would probably need a power converter to use it here

Yes you did.

If you're very lucky you may have just blown the internal fuse, but every chance you've done major damage.
