The Cyrus CDt looks suited to my needs.  My time spent listening to CDs is substantial but the Denon is over budget for me.  I am a bit wary of anything with a built in dac because the improvements are rapid so  the whole component can date comparatively quickly.  Analogue amplifers can go on for decades and CD transports for 5 to 7 years.  Yes the Cyrus CDt is very well suited.  Thanks for the suggestion

Hi. I bought an auidolab cd6200 a couple of years ago and to start with couldn't understand why there was no stand by as the da. converter takes 48 hours to warm up? So i left it on. Initially rhe only problem I experienced was it didn't read disc. Open and close tray solved problem and all was fine!  After perhaps a year of being on, it stopped opening tray? Thinking coz it's always on and sits next to, tho theres 3 or 4 cm between them a krell amp which runs hot! I thought it was too hot? After swithing off for couple of hours and moving it further away from amp, no change! I got frustrated and thumped it and tray opened??? Anyway  I play my telly and dvr through it with pleasing results the cd still occasionally plays up. My previous cd player was linn. Tho the audiolab sounds better the linn played faultless for 15 years!
Prefer vinyl myself and with resurgence of vinyl releases it's only being used as a converter but i wouldn't buy another!
