Alien equipment bt exchange

A question out of interest, do some rural bt exchanges got cellular mobile phone aerials installed and what is a
circular 1ft thick about 2ft diameters slightly concave "dish like a satellite dish" outside a bt exchange used for.
The title is just for a laugh as I do not know what this dish is.  ;D

Since BT are all about communications I would think it's to do with that.
It's probably a satellite link to another BT location.
