The 920 is my next phone, looking forward to it

Windows 8 is released on 28th October and Microsoft will not allow Nokia to release the 920 before that date.  Would make sense to release the phone along with the OS although I have heard many experts talking about Friday 2nd November.

I think it will cost £500 sim free, once again many people in the media are talking about this price point.

I was of the same opinion that I wanted the 920 until I saw the weight of it which is 180gm compared to the Iphone5 which is 114g... the Nokia needs to lose some weight if it is going to compare with the market leaders which are Iphone and Samsung Galaxy S3 which are both very light. Nokia/Microsoft are heading in the right direction but I will wait till the next revision of this when it is slightly lighter.

Well think I'm going to go for the 920 as well, my only concern is the 'exclusive' to EE. Want to get it on vodafone as I can get a discount to my line rental that way. I don't think the weight is an issue my HD7 is 162g and I don't even notice that so another 25g (or packet of crisps ) won't bother me.

I reckon it'll be around £500 sim free as this tends to be where most handset sit.

Agreed concerning the weight, in real terms that is hardly anything.  Wish Nokia would come out with some concrete information, from a business perspective, they have to get a price out before people start snapping up the IP5, give them something to think about.  Could make or break this device.

I too am looking to buy the 920. After being totally underwhelmed by the new iPhone, had a look at specs for this and can't wait! Personally I actually like the fact it's a bit weighty, not too keen on these ultra light phones, feel a bit flimsy to me.

The camera and screen of the 920 look amazing, and Windows Phone 8 is looking very promising. Loving the fact the 920 comes in different colours... red for me.

Agreed about the information... they need to be very proactive on this.. looking at how many IP5's are being sold, they are losing out on this client base.

As to the weight, I would have to disagree as I want to walk around with a device that is not too heavy in my jacket. It is a personal opinion and one of the basis people judge if something is right for them or not.

Yeah im definitely after the 920 but dont really want to switch from o2 as ive been with them for years. I can upgrade in December this year so i can either wait til o2 get it on there network or simply buy it sim free.

To put the weight of the Lumia 920 into some perspective.
It weighs 185 g.
The original Samsung Galaxy Note weighs 178 g.
Sales of which were quite successful.
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is 180g.
I have a Nokia Lumia 900 which weighs 160g,and,notwithstanding it's very solid build,it feels very light in the hand.
So an extra 25g,to my mind, will be neither here nor there.
Much more important to success than the weight of the Lumia 920 is it's delayed availability following it's launch.
Given the low market penetration of Windows phones, how many people who are unfamiliar with the OS will be prepared to switch platforms and take a punt on either the 920 or the 820.
Having recently bought a Lumia 900,I like both the phone, and the Windows OS,but I doubt whether the Nokia 820/920 will be anything other than niche products.

What the hell is all this concern about weight.  In my opinion the iPhone 5 feels cheaper than the iPhone 4 due to its lighter weight.  I much prefer the heavier iPhone 4.  Also the iPhone 4 whilst probably one of the heaviest phones is a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very light object to hold.

I would be more concerned with the plastic finish on the 920 than its weight.  If anything, the reason why people will not buy this phone is because of its cheap plastic.  Still I am interested in seeing one in real life as I want to try out a windows 8 phone and this looks like the best option.

The lack of traffic in this Nokia subforum shows how little interest this phone has relatively speaking.
