As title, going to sell my iPhone XS on there as I’m not having any takers on my ad on gumtree, which I put up about a week ago, had a ton of the usual scam messages but no genuine ones!
But I was quite surprised to see the price on MusicMagpie for my phone was only like £50 less than I’m asking on gumtree! I thought it would have been much lower than it was, so I may end up selling to them instead.
what I wanted to know is how packing works? It says on the site to simply put it in any old box you’ve got laying around, and post it! Surely you’ve got to properly pack it with protective material like bubble wrap etc? You can’t send a £500-600 phone in an empty box rattling around, by the time it gets there, my grade A like new iPhone will be a non functioning phone with a smashed screen!
How did you pack yours to send to music magpie?
I know how to pack, just found it amusing how it’s
basically saying chuck it in old box and send it
EDITED to say, after making this thread I went onto google to check reviews of MusicMagpie, and I’m now in two minds whether or not to use them. I saw a few reviews from only 3/4 weeks ago from people saying they sent their phone in mint condition, then MusicMagpie got in touch saying the SIM card tray was damaged and as such a lower offer has been made. Then another review said they sent a phone which was brand new and still had the plastic wrapping on the back and front, they got a message saying the phone had water damage! Really? There’s loads of good reviews, why would they do this? I can’t see these people telling porkies on trust pilot, they’ve got nothing to gain have they.
Don’t know what to do now! |
