But I went Note 10 Plus 5G as when I researched  the iPhone 11 Apple had not taken steps forward with the iPhone 11 and opinion has it it was more of a backward step. They left out 5G for instance. But you can counter that with the fact that 5G is an emerging technology and current 5G handsets are not really geared up for it, with battery draining issues for instance. The iPhone 11's 3 cameras were seen as a backward step or at least not a good feature.

Don't get me wrong I think iPhone's have been really good since the 8 came out. But out of the two phones IMHO I think Samsung has nailed it and have definitely edged the iPhone out of the top spot.

I've had my note 10 plus 5g 2 months now and the longer I have it the more I regret buying it.
First off when connected to 5g the battery will only last about 9 hours when just in standby and not even using the phone,  5g has to be disabled for the phone to last the day.
Secondly the phone signal is very weak , monday night is was at a dance show which my daughter was in , I was with 3 other family members and we are all on EE .
At the interval I was the only one unable to surf the web lol , the other phones were Google pixel 3a, samsung s9 and an iPhone 10.
They all had 4g I had Jack sh*t , I had to stand at the exit door to get a signal .
This phone is great as a multimedia device but fails miserably as a phone.
I would not recommend this phone to anyone.

I have my 5g Note10 on a 4g ee contract never had any problems with signal.

Maybe it is a problem with 5g and ee rather than the handest?

No fault with the handset it's working as designed .
I didn't know I had any problems with 4g signal untill Monday night when 3 other phone models on ee had a signal and I didn't.

If others that own a 5G Note 10  on EE and don't have problems and then other phones that don't have problems with EE on 4G, maybe there is a problem with your individual handset.

As I said I didn't know I had crap 4g reception untill I was the only one out of 4 people  on EE at the same location that did not have a signal.  
Pixel 3a had a 4g signal,  samsung s9 had a 4g signal and an iPhone 10 had a 4g signal .
I'm sure other note 10 owners would be in the same situation of not knowing the 10 note is garbage as a phone untill they also have no signal and had a friend or family member with them also on EE but they had a signal .
Today was another fine example of its poor reception as I popped  around to see an old friend whom lives in a poor ee signal area,  I have struggled in the past with a phone signal there when in the front of his property but it's ok in the back where  his living room is , today with my note 10 was unable to get any signal anywhere in his  property and even within 1 mile of it untill i was driving home .
The phone has been checked and  tested by EE and Samsung and is  said to be working to spec .
I expect the none 5g version could work better and I'm thinking of selling my 5g version to get  4g only version , I expect the 5g antenna could  be taking up more room within the phone restricting the 4g antenna size maybe .

Again I will  say dont buy this phone it's not very good imo.

You're not listening. If the guy above has no problems with a 5G Note on EE and people with other EE phones are also fine, how do you know you don't have a faulty unit?

Unless the the other owners are in a situation where they have no signal but they are with someone else on EE on a different phone they wont know know how crap this phone is when it come to phone signal .
This phone is garbage as a phone end of.

A google search shows lots of sites and threads with lots of note 10 plus owners complaining about poor signal strength.

As @Parry has stated there appears to be a problem for Note 10 products as far as poor signal is concerned, all models across all carriers. Though it has been raised with Samsung they have not as yet come up with what they intend doing to resolve this issue.
