I think the two big questions are whether you plan on overclocking and how willing you are to spend that extra bit of money. I've always built my own PCs because it was cheaper, but I don't think that applies here because that pre-built PC is already cheaper and comes with a copy of Windows 10.
If you aren't planning on overclocking (which I hear isn't great with the Ryzen 3000 series), then you could honestly drop a couple of those fans in the custom build and save a bit. I know people who have bought Windows keys from those questionably legit Ebay sellers for dirt cheap and they've never had any issues. Getting rid of a fan or two from that build could offset the cost of Windows 10 if you chose to go down that route.
I enjoy building PCs so that's always part of my consideration, but if a pre-built system is cheaper and you didn't care about whether you put it together yourself or not then that very well might be the better option. |
